I am new to the area and just started shopping at this store. I have to say the meat counter is phenomenal, the produce is beautiful and the store is very clean. Their deli has a variety of hot food options daily. The employees are so friendly and willing to help when there is something I can't find on my own. I highly recommend giving this place a try!
This store is great for everything, but let's be honest all grocery stores do a good job. What urged me to actually write a review is the produce section!! We all need to mix in the healthy stuff and I literally drive almost 15 minutes out of my way just for the produce here. Also what was refreshing and cool to see, their collection of hot sauces! I know that sounds funny but what a cool thing for them to go out of their way to deliver such a selection of a niche market we all love. Kudos! See you tomorrow in the produce section!!
5 stars! Why? Because I feel like I had one heck of an experience. An experience where I felt like I just stepped out of a Time Machine made out of a DeLorean. Last time I was in Oakridge market, I think it was 1995. Guess what? It still looks the same. In fact, I don't think they have changed a darn thing since 1988. The PA soundtrack is still playing the same songs from 1988. A lady still comes over the PA system to announce in-store specials. Do you think you can hear it? Not at all. The audio system is terrible. And for this, I absolutely love it!The dust on the hair care products is from 1988. All the signage is from, you guessed it- 1988! I'm not making any of this up. Why do I love this place? It's nostalgic. It's a step back in time. When things were simpler. There was no cell phones. Maybe pagers or "beepers" were making the scene. When you want to go grocery shopping and avoid all the crowds, this is your place. You will find what you need and you will definitely be in the moment. Or at least in the decade. The decade of the 80s. Check it out before they go out of business!
Just went in to get a couple of sale items but the smell of fried chicken through the store caused me to wonder over to the deli, and glad I did got 8 pieces to bring home 2 breast 2 thighs 2 wings and 2 legs. The flavor of this chicken was awesome spiced perfectly and very moist. $8.99 for this. I'm not sure if priced right or not but one thing this was well worth it. When I need a fried fix I know where to go.
